Wow, craziness…a Gossip Friday that’s actually on FRIDAY!  lol

I am absolutely thrilled with all the melting snow and I always get in a good mood whenever I spot the grass (as brown as it may be) for the first time.  Spring definitely is a favourite season of mine and it puts me into such a good mood.  It signals a time of new beginnings and freshness.  Wanna know the point of Spring that makes me the happiest?  The first time I spot new buds on the trees…It makes me happy beyond belief.  I’m kinda a dork sometimes.  lol

1. This story makes me unbelievably sad .

Actress Natasha Richardson died yesterday from a blood clot caused by a blunt trauma to the head, after being involved in what appeared to be a minor skiing accident in Quebec this week.  At the age of 45 she leaves to mourn, Actor husband Liam Neeson and two sons.  I think this is a huge reminder to us that life is precious and time is fleeting.  Life is just too short and we need to value and appreciate the little things and the amazing people in our lives.  I’ve definitely been evaluating the things in my life that matter and what and who I should be surrounding myself with after this tragedy.  I’m a girl who believes in love stories and this is one love story cut way too short.  My heart goes out to her family!

3. With Spring in the air I’m in full shoe mode.  I’ve been eyeing up all the new strappy, open toed styles that are coming out and I’ll be honest…I have a list about a page long of all the ones I want!  This pair from Jessica Simpson are so cute and perfect for jeans or a cute dress on a night out.  The gladiator style is transitioning into the Spring styles and I love it.  Also huge right now is snakeskin.  And as always, Spring means the return of COLOUR!!  Go for bold and bright and your feet will look fabulous!  Check out all the amazing shoes at www.heels.com and here’s the pair shown above.

4.  I’m sure you all know by now that I’m a music person.  My day can be completely transformed by hearing just one song that speaks to me! I love lyrics and tend to be drawn to songs that have something profound to say.  Don’t get me wrong I love the fun “pop” songs that have absolutely no meaning whatsoever but songs that have something to say are like gold to me. This one makes me think and I love the original one by Snow Patrol but this one sung by a female encompasses so much right now.  And I love Leona Lewis .  Check out the video here

Okay so I’m a bad blogger…a really, really bad blogger!!  I know, I know!  I’ve been crazy busy trying to get organized and ready for spring and get all my stuff I’ve been putting off done as well.  So for today Gossip Friday is Gossip Monday   Got it?  Good!!

1. With Spring right around the corner I have been dying checking out all the new Spring fashions.  You might remember my Mackage coat from this post.  I absolutely adore it and wore it so much that it now needs a good dry cleaning! I just LOVE Mackage.  Their coats are gorgeous and the European lines are to die for.  These two coats are from their Spring line and I’m literally in a panic to get one…or both.  The first is a spin on the classic trench with leather detailing.  I just love the neckline! HOT!!  The second is a super sexy bomber style jacket and is made from super soft  Lamb Leather.  LOVES IT!  How does a girl choose? Impossible!! Both are a must have this season! 2.  My new must have shoe for Spring/Summer.  These super cute pair by Marc by Marc Jacobs.  How cute is the little heart detail on them?  I can’t wait to get a pair…and of course for the snow to be totally gone so I can actually wear them!  Spring is sooo close I can feel it!  This makes me immensely happy!   Who else is now dying for a pedicure???  ME!!!  lol

3.  In honour of Beyonce performing live in concert at the MTS centre next month, I’m posting my favourite song from her new I am Sasha Fierce CD.  This song is amazing and speaks to me.  It was originally written by Jon McLaughlin as Smack Into You.  The original song from the CD only features Beyonce but this one features them both and it’s an awesome duet!  LOVE!! *sigh*

4.  Could all our hopes of Lipstick Jungle’s return next season be completely dashed?  It isn’t looking good, my fellow LJ addicts!    Seems Miss Lindsay Price (Victory) just signed on to be one of the witches in the remake of The Witches of Eastwick which will be airing on ABC and Kim Raver (Niko) has been cast in one of the lead roles for ABC’s new drama pilot Inside the Box.  Also spotted making appearances in Priveleged is my favourite male star of the show, Robert Buckley (Kirby).  So nothing has “officially” been said about the show being cancelled but with the stars finding other work the chances are becoming slimmer and slimmer   Say it isn’t so, NBC!!!  I can’t live without my Lipstick Jungle!!

Is it Spring yet???  I’m beyond sick of this weather already!!  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I was NOT made for this climate!!  *sigh*  Thankfully I was made for Gossip Fridays!! YAY!!

1.  If you’re a guy reading my blog you undoubtedly know about the CFC fight tonight at the convention centre.  And you will no doubt be sporting your favourite Dom Rebel/Ed Hardy/Affliction/Tap Out skin tight tshirt.  Are you even allowed in the door without one these days??  I’ve agreed for one night only to be one of the Whiskey Chix hanging out with all of you UFC loving guys and girls…so if you see me be sure to say HI!  The official after party is at Whiskey Dix so plan to make it there after if you’re going.  I hear it’s going to be fun!

2.  I’m loving on this song by Madcon.  It’s called Beggin’  and it’s soooo addicting.  I blast it in my car and can’t get enough.

I’m going to try my hardest to get next week’s Gossip Friday out but I’m heading to Vegas for a huge photography convention next Sunday so I might be a little too busy trying to calm myself down so I’ll actually make it on the plane.  FYI…I’m super scared of flying by myself.  *sigh*

Hello 2009!  You are going to be a good year!  So let’s start off this year’s gossip right, fashion, music and makeup tips.  Fabulous!

1. The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York takes place in February and all the latest fall fashions will be on display.  Previous years have had all the glitz and glamour you would expect from some of the most major designers in the biz.  With shows costing upwards of hundreds of thousands of dollars to put on and A-list celebs clamouring to get on the first row invite list, Fashion Week has been that ray of sunshine in a gloomy gloomy winter.  Looks like the economy is striking again though.  Notable designers like Vera Wang, Betsey Johnson, Carmen Marc Valvo and Monique Lhuiller are opting out of the tents.  Some have decided to put on smaller more intimate “presentations” for press and retailers.  Boring!!  Thankfully Justin Timberlake’s line William Rast (just bought my first pair of Jeans from them and LOVE THEM) will still be on the schedule and Justin will definitely be making an appearance.  Hope that keeps the Upper East Side happy.

2. If anyone watched Lipstick Jungle last week you would have heard this song being sung by Natasha Bedingfield.  It’s called Soulmate and I instantly fell in love with it and have been playing it like crazy.  *sigh*  Surprisingly it’s off her Pocketful of Sunshine CD released in 2007.

3. Speaking of Lipstick Jungle.  Tonight is the Season Finale   Some say the Series Finale but I’m still holding my breath that it’ll come back next season.  Last week’s episode had Victory’s mind made up that she was done with the head games, the waiting and the talking.  It must mean something when two people who try to stay away from each other just can’t.  So after Joe’s failed attempt to ask her to marry him,  she took matters into her own hands and asked Joe to marry her.  Loved it and loved the boots she was wearing!  Also loved Kirby asking Niko to go away with him.  Why can’t boys make up their minds?

4.  I’m going to share a personal makeup tip with you and as I was getting my hair done this week and reading In Style Magazine it looked like In Style stole my makeup tip.  Not likely but it was nice to see my personal fave got in there (and that I was doing it right, LOL)

So here it is.  For cheeks to die for get yourself some loose powdered bronzer. Brush the bronzer along your cheekbone to add depth and if you haven’t been blessed with perfect bone structure give the illusion of a high cheekbone.  Next depending on your skintone brush on a peach to pinky coloured powdered blush.  But only do this on the apples of your cheeks and slightly brush upwards along the cheekbone.  I use this blush brush from MAC.  And don’t forget the dewy look is in so hydrate your skin as much as possible so you’ll be glowing! My personal fave from MAC is this lotion.  It’s so amazing!

I’m currently waiting on some newborns to be born and I’m so excited for that.  The Twins casting call is still on.  I’m looking for just the right people.  I’ve got a lot of fun poses and stuff in my head that I want to acheive and this session will be amazing with a lot of gorgeous images.
